Rise to the Masses

In today’s entertainment industry exposure is key. Showcasing your act, brand, sound, visuals, and specially your voice it is very critical. Having a platform where you can expose all of your talents and products it has become the focus for the industry.
In 1987 someone came up with this concept in showcasing everything in entertainment under one roof, one place, one community. Austin, Texas was the birthplace for South by Southwest a multi-production festival. Now in their 27th Annual Festival, South by Southwest has evolved from a conference about entertainment to a world renounce entity.

South by Southwest also, known as SXSW brought all genres of music, films, media and technology together through their annual festival. In SXSW an artist, producer, designer, director, programmer and any other creative position in the entertainment industry can display their work and network through the worldwide community that attends the events. Over 2,000 musicians, producers, directors, marketers, fashion designers, and many other sides of the industry from all over the world collide here.
Having the chance to show your passion for photography, tattoos, music, video and the many trades for your career, this is the place. “The SXSW Trade Show is the heart of the converging industries experienced at SXSW. The four-day show celebrates the organizations that define the ever-evolving relationship between media, technology, creators and consumers” (About. SXSW.com).

For the Tainted Visions projected idea for our audience, this is one of the best platforms to step on. Putting a giant network of art and entertainment lovers together will spread the concept and love for the lifestyle that many have been living in “secret” or not to the fullest because of the so called mainstream society rejection.
SXSW gives a stage to stand and yell to everyone that loves the alternative lifestyle that there are more of us out there.
We are all creative, we are all artistic, we are all fanatics, and we are one. Joining this event and be part of Tainted Visions will give you a place to express your passion and talent with others. If you enjoy music, art, photography, design and any other part of the entertainment and tattooing, this is where you belong Tainted Visions.

A New Mission

Welcome to another post from Tainted Visions.
This time, I will talk a little bit about our men and women in the military and what happen to some of us after our return home.

Through life, we pass by in many diversified ways. For instance, some of us go through life as we have been told too, others find a way to express, some just give up, but others join the military to find their way and purpose.

The ones I call brothers, served and still serving our nation protecting our families, what we believe in and our freedom. We gave everything for what we believe in. Praises, applauds, hugs, thousands of gratitude for what we did was given to us, but when we came back home...

The same ones that used to call us heroes and patriots forsook us and shoved a cold shoulder to our chest, disapproval, hatred was and is given to us. As we return from one foreign hell, fighting for our freedom we come to our own hell right at our footsteps. Many of us lost the sense of self-worth, the ability to trust others and some of us try to end our lives.

Jake Wood, former US Marine expresses this problem. How some of us have a hard time re-integrating back to our community. Jake talks about his friend Clay Hunt and describes why he took his own life... "Clay kill himself because of what he lost when he came home. He lost purpose. He lost his community and perhaps most tragically, he lost his self-worth".

This is a problem that many of us have encounter after the military lifestyle. Thanks to Jake and his foundation Team Rubicon, there is help on how we can effectively contribute to disaster relief responses and in the process we can regain purpose, community and self-worth (Wood, www.Ted.com).

Here is the full speech from Jake at Ted.com

Tainted Angels

A fresh scene for models and performers with skin art in Central Florida.

Today's skin art has grown to a magnificent level of acceptance in today’s society. Still in some areas of entertainment and business, skin art or tattoos continue to be a taboo or just not accepted. This has created a way to people to find ways to show, glorify or just enjoy the art and beauty of this ancient art. We can start with the world renown alternate adult entertainment group of the Suicide Girls. The group started in 2001 with the soft-core pin up photo style. Suicide Girls introduced a new style of modeling to society where any woman that feels gorgeous and beautiful that love the punk rock scene can be part of. These women have joined the Suicide Girls group in the thousands worldwide.

A few years after the Suicide Girls success on 2006, The Gods Girls were created. The GG expanded the admiration and love for the punk rock models covered in tattoos to a higher level of adult entertainment. The alternate pornographic site still promotes skin art on female models, but focuses more on carnal desire instead of the love of tattooing as a manifestation of beauty through art.

With these two sides of the same coin, I want to bring a scene to the Central Florida Area. This scene will be for those who love skin art on men and women, and dream to be part of the modeling industry, but are rejected because if their body art. This scene will be infused with the erotic styles of electronic music, hardcore metal and other seductive sounds and visuals that will escalate the senses of the show.

This will bring a new generation of artists and art lovers together in Central Florida. The performances and the execution of visual displays will bring controversy to the area as well. The passion and admiration for this art will not be stopped by the controversy of the public that do not understand the subculture. Inked Angels will be the new reality in Central Florida… Coming Soon!
